Great news - our inaugural 2020 bursary scheme was such a success, we couldn't just leave it at that! So we're now rolling out the same programme in 2021, to support the development of 4 new riders through the sport!
There will be four bursary spots available, one in each of the following disciplines:
- Show Jumping
- Eventing
- Dressage
- Showing
What is on offer to the lucky winners?
- £500 training budget per winner to pay for monthly lessons (£50 / month for 10 months)
- A lesson with one of our HorseQuest Ambassadors
- HorseQuest competition clothing / horse wear
- Free HorseQuest advertising for 1 year (non-transferable)
Who can I win a lesson with?
Eventing - Olympic International event rider and 2014 Badminton winner Sam Griffiths, based in Gillingham, Dorset.
Dressage - GB YR Team and International Grand Prix Dressage rider Andrew Gould, based in West Sussex.
Show Jumping - International Showjumper & 4 x Hickstead Derby Champion William Funnell, based at The Billy Stud in Dorking, Surrey.
Showing - Prolific Judge, Producer and all-round Show Ring legend Jerome Harforth, based at Stanley Grange Stud in North Yorkshire.
(Please note: If you are selected as the winner in your chosen discipline, you must be able to arrange your own transport to / from the venue of the trainer listed above!)
Following your progress...
As part of the bursary programme, we will be following your progress so you'll become stars of our Blog, Facebook and Instagram channels.
You will be required to share monthly blogs (and / or) vlogs and photos, which we'll promote to our followers. You can see what the 2020 winners got up to on the blog here.
The bursary is open to everyone - whatever your level of training / competition - so don't be afraid to get involved!
Now for the important bit... How to enter!
All applications for the bursary must include a video application telling us why you think you deserve a winning spot. So it's time to get creative and tell us about why we should pick you and your horse(s) / pony, and the journey you'll take us on with you!
You'll find links to the application videos for our 2020 winners below if you need some inspiration!
To apply for a space on the bursary, you must send us the following mandatory information to: bursary@horsequest.co.uk.

Your email address
Your preferred contact number

Applications close on Wednesday 30th December. Please note that applications without a video submission will not be accepted.
